There is a moment when the forest starts to work. Five minutes after arrival you let go of the motorway. Ten minutes later everyone speaks more quietly. Chalet Anna-Helena is built for that moment. Warm wood, high ceilings, a pond that has nowhere to be. This is what escaping feels like when you do it right.
Chalet Anna-Helena sits at the edge of the Meetjesland countryside, surrounded by meadows and forest. The garden with its pond is your private piece of nature. In the morning you might spot deer. In the evening, complete silence. The chalet is fully equipped for families or groups up to 5: a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable living room and two bedrooms with quality beds. The bathroom has a bath, shower and heated towel rail. Outside, the private terrace and fully enclosed garden give children the freedom to play safely. Free parking for 2 cars on site.
the neighbourhood
Ursel is a quiet village in the Meetjesland, an area of polders, forests and cycling routes between Ghent and the coast. The Drongengoed forest, 750 hectares of ancient woodland, starts at the front door. Bruges is 25 minutes by car. Ghent is 30 minutes. The surrounding area is perfect for cycling, walking and discovering authentic Flemish countryside. Note: the chalet is accessed via an unpaved forest track — drive carefully in wet weather.
